Trifoglio

Gaiole in Chianti - Siena and Chianti

2+1 1 1 Private Pool
Trifoglio is a beautifully restored stone cottage set in an authentic 18th-century hamlet in the heart of Chianti Classico. Once renovated by an artist, the villa is tastefully furnished and blends traditional Tuscan style with modern elegance. It’s perfect for a couple or a small family of three looking to enjoy the quiet charm and natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside.

The house is well located for exploring the region’s highlights. The renowned winery Casanova di Bricciano is just 500 metres away, and Gaiole in Chianti, with its restaurants, shops, and a small supermarket, is only 10 minutes by car. Day trips to Siena, Florence, Arezzo, and San Gimignano are all easily possible from here.

Trifoglio enjoys a peaceful position within a historic rural hamlet, surrounded by olive groves and green hills. Despite its secluded setting, the area’s amenities are easily accessible.

The single-level stone house features a covered terrace directly outside the front door, perfect for enjoying a quiet breakfast. The private pool is surrounded by a well-kept lawn and blooming rose bushes, while a second shaded dining area in the garden offers the perfect spot for long, relaxed meals with a view.

Inside, the villa combines traditional elements such as terracotta floors and wooden beam ceilings with stylish contemporary furnishings. Thoughtful details and artistic touches create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

With its scenic setting, elegant interiors and sense of tranquillity, Trifoglio is a wonderful retreat for those seeking an authentic Chianti experience.

We had a really wonderful stay at this beautiful, rustic villa in Gaiole in Chianti. Surrounded by stunning vineyards, with its own private pool, it was the perfect place to relax, switch off and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Tuscan countryside. The villa is full of character, comfortable and with lots of personal touches and quirky details that reflect Holly’s creativity as an artist by trade. Holly was a fantastic host, giving us a warm welcome on arrival, leaving us wine and homemade olive oil as welcome gifts, and sharing her local knowledge to help us plan our week and make the most of the area. Holly even recommended a local festival where we were able to catch a free firework display in Radda, which was amazing, it really helps having someone local to check-in with throughout the week on recommendations and plans. We loved the balance of exploring the surrounding area and spending time simply relaxing at the villa. Given the rural setting and hot weather, there are naturally a few flies and mosquitoes around during the day and evenings, but this didn't detract from our stay, just bring your repellent! :-)

The location is ideal for exploring Tuscany, with Siena around an hour’s drive away, Radda just 20 minutes away, and Panzano around 40 minutes away. There are plenty of wonderful local villages, restaurants and markets to discover, as well as easy access to the train station at Montevarchi for a day trip to Florence. Parking is simple and inexpensive. The best meal we had was in Florence, at Fiaschetteria Trattoria Mario, a family-run restaurant since 1953. Do not judge a book by its’s cover, it is hidden down a side street, but the steak and home made ragu was incredible, and with its family-style seating arrangement, you were truly made to feel at home and like one of the family. Full of locals, it is a must do! The villa is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Tuscany has to offer, while also providing a peaceful retreat to return to at the end of the day. A truly lovely place to experience Tuscany, whether you’re looking to explore the region or simply enjoy some well-deserved downtime. We would definitely recommend it and would love to return in the future!
